How many sessions will I need?

Most clients require between 1 and 3 sessions depending on the number and size of vessels being treated. Results improve progressively after each session.

Is there any downtime?

There is minimal downtime with most thread vein treatments. Some mild redness or bruising may occur, but this usually settles within a few days.

How long do results last?

The treated vessels are permanently destroyed and will not return. New thread veins may appear over time due to natural ageing or lifestyle factors, but maintenance treatments can be carried out as needed.

Thread vein removal is used to reduce the appearance of visible veins and broken capillaries on the face or body. It helps improve redness and uneven tone, leaving the skin looking clearer and calmer, particularly popular for areas such as the cheeks, nose and legs.

At Visage we use microsclerotherapy for thread veins on the legs. This technique targets the visible vessels directly so that they gradually fade and are naturally reabsorbed by the body. As this happens, the skin starts to look more even in tone and less flushed.

For facial thread veins, we use targeted laser or light-based treatment to gently reduce the appearance of broken capillaries without damaging the surrounding skin.

At Visage Medispa in Weybridge, we discuss your goals and suitability before recommending thread vein removal. Results, recovery and the number of appointments vary between individuals, and your practitioner will talk you through your plan and its cost before you decide.
