How many sessions will I need?

Most clients need between 2 and 4 sessions per area, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, to achieve optimal results. The number depends on the size of the area and the amount of fat being treated.

When will I see results?

Results develop gradually as the body processes the treated fat cells. Most clients notice visible improvement within 4 to 6 weeks of each session, with continued improvement over the following months.

Is the treatment permanent?

The fat cells that are treated are permanently destroyed. However, weight gain can cause remaining fat cells to enlarge, so maintaining a stable weight helps to preserve results.

Is it suitable for everyone?

Aqualyx is best for people close to their ideal weight who have specific areas of stubborn localised fat. It is not a treatment for significant weight loss. A consultation will confirm whether it is suitable for you.

Aqualyx is a fat-dissolving injectable treatment used to target small, stubborn pockets of fat that do not seem to shift with diet and exercise. It is commonly used in areas such as the chin, abdomen, thighs, hips and knees.

It is not a weight-loss treatment, but it can be very effective for refining and contouring specific areas. The treatment helps break down fat cells in the targeted area, which are then gradually processed and removed by the body. Results develop over time, rather than instantly, so the change tends to look gradual and natural.

Aqualyx is best suited to people who are generally at a stable weight but want help with localised areas that feel resistant to diet and lifestyle improvements.

At Visage Medispa in Weybridge, we discuss your goals and suitability before recommending aqualyx: fat dissolving injections. Results, recovery and the number of appointments vary between individuals, and your practitioner will talk you through your plan and its cost before you decide.
